Halloween 2011

"This IS my costume..."

Mia and Minnie

So we took Nataleigh "Trick or Treening" for the first time this year. She loved it! She dressed up as Minnie Mouse (Thanks to her cousins for the Minnie outfit) ;) Mommy made some ears and we threw together a hat and some eye liner on the nose (although, I should have just done a dot on the nose because she looked like a little dog) ;) oh well. We just walked around our neighborhood and met up with some friends that we met this summer when we were out on walks. So all of our kids walked around together ;) Nataleigh was not shy at all (are you surprised) when she would go ask for candy ;) Thankfully she hasn't remembered the candy and we can use these for "special times." :) hahaha

Fall is here!

Fall is here...which means bundling up or cuddling up indoors.

Chris's cousin, Becca from Germany is here with his parents as an exchange student. Her friend from Germany is visiting and Nataleigh LOVES them!!

Trip to Indiana!

We went to Mom and Dad's for almost a week so I could help with leading music for a Ladies' Rally at camp. It was the first time my mom, sister, sister-in-law and I sang together! One thing I wanted to learn while I was home is canning applesauce...it was fun! :) The apples were hand picked on the side of the road by my mom and dad! Love it! ;) I wish I had a picture of Nataleigh getting into the bucket of apples. I think the whole week she walked around with an apple in hand.

First tooth-5.5 months

What I had been suspecting for a few months was true-Mia was teething! She FINALLY cut her first tooth today. It's her front right bottom one. The one right next to it is about to cut through as well. Nataleigh's first two teeth were also her front bottom ones at around 4.5/5 months. Mia has always been a wonderful napper and teething has def. been disrupting her sleep :(
YAY for signs of growth, though! :)

5 months!

I can't believe I just typed that our Mia is 5 months old today! In some ways it feels like it's gone by so quickly and other ways not! It is a joy raising two girls but VERY challenging to juggle both of their needs. There are some days I can't believe we survived the day and other days that are a breeze.
Mia has been up to a lot at 4 months. She's rolling more from tummy to back, grabbing toys and putting them in her mouth with both hands, recognizing faces more, making faces, awake more and stretching out her feedings, more vocal, loves when we sing to her and is grabbing at our food. We introduced the exersaucer toy last week and she enjoys that. She's not a huge fan of the bouncy/buzz chair and loves to be on her tummy, loves to be held by anyone and enjoys joining us at the table in the Bumbo seat.
It's becoming more real to Nataleigh that her sissy is joining us for good as Mia is more awake now and playing more. Nataleigh does a good job sharing for the most part. Nataleigh's favorite thing to do with sissy is read to her. She also enjoys pestering her in the exersaucer, giving and getting kisses and handing her toys.
Mia has been showing lots of teething signs. Nataleigh had her 2 bottom teeth at 5 months. We have been giving her gripe water for the pain and that seems to be helping.
We saw the physical therapist at the beginning of this month and thankfully her torticollos is a very MILD case! She doesn't need to be seen until this month and they sent us home with daily excercises to do with her. The goal is for Mia's chin to touch her right shoulder.

Here are some pictures from Mia's 4 months:
