Picture Time!

Here are a few new pics of Mia taken today (8 weeks).

Here a couple of pics taken at the beginning of June after Nataleigh got her baby doll for her Birthday. She LOVES this doll and mimics EVERYTHING I do with Mia to her baby...it's really cute! ; My favorite thing she mimics is putting the blanket on the baby's face when she strolls her around (because I put a blanket over the carseat when Mia is sleeping). Too cute! ;)

Potty Training Central

It's time! Potty time in our house! We got a potty awhile back and I started working with Nataleigh but at a very slow pace and I should probably have just stuck with it and had her trained before Mia came along. I was pregnant, didn't have much patience so I chose to wait until now. I figure since we are inside a lot now anyway it was a good time!
She has successfully peed a couple of times and tonight she pooped for the first time!!!!! Yippie!! We are def. making progress. She loves her Dora undies but for some reason keeps asking for Princess ones...don't know where she got that from? :)
Here's to potty training! ;)

Sleep how I miss you...

So, this little sleep stuff is really starting to affect me. Thankfully Mia is getting closer each day to sleeping through the night but I'm still getting up at least once a night sometimes twice with her and then our day starts at 6:30 right now so I'm just a little tired! 2 weeks ago Nataleigh started having troubles with her nap and the walls are so thin and they share a wall so as soon as Mia would fall asleep Nataleigh would be having a mini tantrum that would wake Mia up and then Nataleigh would finally go to sleep and Mia would wake up for whatever reason (she's normally a great napper the rest of the day). Since this is Nataleigh's only nap I had to do everything possible to respect that! This is also my nap time so for about 2 weeks I have not had a nap either.
So..I was thinking...how can I get creative so we can all take naps? I set up the Pack and Play in the basement and that's where Mia took her afternoon nap today. All of us napped...I was in and out of my nap because I am so used to one of them waking up that in my mind I couldn't fall asleep because I just knew one of them would wake up :) So here's to happy napping in the afternoon at our house!!! I'm so excited!! ;)
Lack of sleep equals lack of patience and focus and everything else with me so I could use some prayer!
Speaking of sleep...I think that's where I'll head now!
Good night!

Yes, I'm still alive :)

Haha! Yes, I'm alive! Starting to get some good sleep so that helps! We continue to adjust as a family of 4. We have our good days, we have our bad but we are blessed and we are trying to remember that daily! ;)
Nataleigh and I have been enjoying the outside in the mornings. We color at her new table on the sun porch, write on the driveway with sidewalk chalk, blow bubbles, walk down the street (today she skinned her knees-poor thing). Tomorrow Nataleigh has her 2yr. check up. I'm not looking forward to her shot(s).
It seems like Nataleigh all of a sudden grew up after her 2 yr. Birthday. She's starting to ask what everything is, says her ABC's and counts to 10, comprehends a lot more, uses her sign language when talking about things, says "please" and "thank you" with out us asking her to. She's also a little stinker right now. She has her daily fits :( She loves sissy and is very gentle and sweet with her. Ever since sissy came she's become daddy's girl!
Mia is great! She seems so laid back. She's such a smiley girl. It seems like she's been in a growth spurt this week and is constantly changing! The last 2 nights she's woken up only once to eat so we are getting there! She starts her day at 6:30/7 and Nataleigh starts her day 7:30/8 (although adjusting to sissy's cries she's been sleeping til 8:30 sometimes)
end of 6 weeks:

she enjoys baths!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Nataleigh!
We celebrated on Saturday (a few days before her actual Birthday) with family and friends. My dad and mom always seem to get roped in to helping us set up for her Birthday parties :)

The sweet table and chairs Grandpa and Nonna got Nataleigh for her Birthday!! Sitting with her Forest City friends :)

Cousin Autumn holding Mia for the first time-My brother's family made it a day trip (3 hours away from us) to come to Nataleigh's party and meet Mia for the first time ;)

Gran Gran getting some last cuddles before heading back to IN.

Jennifer Neyhart's surprise visit happened to be at the end of Nataleigh's party! It was so wonderful to see her (it had been 2 years!) We love Neyhart! We both had a great fall after getting each other with water-always a memorable time!

Mia-1 month old

Hard to believe Mia is already 1 month old!
Here is a run down of what she's been up to in the first month:
*3 weeks-sleeping in crib
*starting to smile more at people
*more alert
*eating every 21/2-3 hours (usually 3)
*fast eater
*had her first bottle of BM at 4 weeks (Gran Gran had the privilege of giving this to her)
*personality seems laid back, very content
*doesn't mind her car seat

Fun places we have been:
*Church
*Attempted an Indians Baseball game (it was way too hot for her-left in the middle)
*A cousin's Birthday party in Youngstown
