blueberry girl, funny times with daddy and walking!!!

Tuesdays are always the best because it's daddy's day off! She is so fun when she tries new foods! This week it has been cut up blueberries. Nataleigh also enjoys mimicking us. I just love this stage! She's got daddy wrapped around her finger! And all of a sudden she is more and more interested in walking! I'm afraid she's growing up WAY too fast!

A friend needs prayer

I have been following Angie Smith's blog since our miscarriage.
A short, short version of her story...
Her baby had complications in the womb and the doctors highly suggested they terminate the pregnancy. Angie and her husband did not agree with this choice and she continued to carry the baby. When the baby was born she was not expected to be alive...she lived for 2 hours!
So, it's been 2 years since their loss and she's 35 weeks pregnant. She is having some complications and needs our prayer...you can read here for more detail...

Angie has written a book on their loss of Audrey and I highly, highly recommend it for anyone who has lost not just a baby but anyone in their lives.
Praising God for Angie and Todd Smith's faithfulness!

Hope you have a good day! :)

Fun girl!

Today Nataleigh had a really good day! She went with me to get dinner last night (Jimmy Johns) :) And it was such a beautiful day I got her all dolled up in a dress and sun hat and bare feet (she prefers to be barefoot). I had the music up in the car and all of a sudden the car was shaking...yep, she was dancing in the back seat having a good ole' time! :) That's our girl! She's also been taking a lot more steps lately (3-4 on her own) and did a lot of this yesterday! She just wants to go! That girl has so much energy! :)
Last night I watched our friend's 2 girls (a 3 year old and 12 month old) while Chris stayed back with Nataleigh. Sadly this is one of the few times just Chris has stayed home with her and done the whole bedtime routine! She did take a bottle for him! For the longest time she wouldn't take a bottle so I just got used to doing the whole nighttime thing and not going places at night until she was down. I am thankful for the little time I got away from the normal routine to help our friends! And thankful Nataleigh and Daddy had some great bonding time! :) I'm thinking Nataleigh needs a brother or sister sometime in the near future! Those girls were so much fun to watch together! :)
Here's some pics...

And here is a video of her as she gets closer and closer to walking...

Happy Mother's Day!

What a wonderful day it was! My parents came to visit on Sat night and left Monday morning. Sunday morning Nataleigh saw Gran Gran and PaPaw and it did not take her long to remember them. We had only seen them on Skype and had not seen them in person since the middle of February! :( I left to go practice at church and Gran Gran and PaPaw stayed back with Nataleigh to put her down for a little nap before church. Then when they got to church they put her in the nursery without seeing me first and she did just fine the whole time!! She's def. an independent girl! :)
We came back here after church and Grandpa and Nonna joined us for lunch. Chris made his wonderful sketti! :) Mom made a cheesecake that was to die for! :) We got in a game of Rook too!
Nataleigh was a joy all day! Charming everyone and hammin it up! :) That was the best present I could ever get for Mothers Day! ;)
Gran Gran loves to give her babies baths and pamper them with lotion afterwards :) This is how Nataleigh wrapped up her day.
Mom and dad stayed the night and we had a great time playing Rook and chatting! They enjoyed some Nataleigh time before they left this morning! Nataleigh loved playing with PaPaws cane (he had knee surgery in Feb).
We look forward to seeing them again around Memorial Day!
Here are some pics from the day...

11 months old today

Our baby is not so much a baby anymore. It's crazy to think she's almost a year old.
She continues to amaze us more and more every day. Her newest thing is thinking she can walk so she goes for something with a few steps and resorts to crawling to get to it. :) I'm sure she'll be walking soon! Just seems like she's really taken more interest in the last week!

Little girl,
You have forever changed our lives! We are so blessed! Even through the tough times may we be mindful of how blessed we are and never take a moment with you forgranted! I constantly have to remind myself that we are all imperfect but keep striving to be the best we can be as we seek God for wisdom.
Love,
mommy :)
