Labor Day Weekend!

We were able to get away for a few days to Indiana! My grandma (Mi Mi) was also visiting and she was able to meet miss Mia for the first time! Special, special times! This was a much needed break from our normal routine here. Chris is back in school and services start up this Sunday at Forest City!! As always, Nataleigh had a blast with her cousins!

Mia-4 months

Our Mia is 4 months old today! She had her 4 month well visit and is 14 lbs 2 oz. 24.25". She's a growin' girl! She will go to physical therapy because our peditrician thinks she has a mild case of torticollis. We will learn more at our first physical therapy appointment next week. But as always, any news about our children's health can be scary! Notice in this picture that her head is tipped to the left side. Here is a brief description of what it is:
Torticollis is a twisted neck in which the head is tipped to one side, while the chin is turned to the other.
Causes, incidence, and risk factors

Torticollis may be:

Inherited: Due to specific changes in your genes

Acquired: Develops as a result of damage to the nervous system or muscles

If the condition occurs without a known cause, it is called idiopathic torticollis.

Torticollis may develop in childhood or adulthood. Congenital torticollis (present at birth) may occur if the fetus' head is in the wrong position while growing in the womb, or if the muscles or blood supply to the fetus' neck are injured.
